LaBlast® was created by Louis Van Amstel, three-time World Dance Champion and Emmy-nominated choreographer. You may be familiar with Louis from his appearances on Dancing With the Stars but he has also choreographed and trained contestants on So You Think You Can Dance, Lie to Me and The Bachelor Pad.
As a passionate advocate of healthy living, Louis created LaBlast to promote fitness and make working out fun, all through the power of dance. “I run this class for the people who think they can’t dance or have two left feet, and offer five levels catering to everyone from the absolute beginner to the already experienced dancer!”
LaBlast combines the worlds of dance and fitness – providing a one of a kind workout that motivates and empowers students of every fitness level to keep dancing and have a Blast! LaBlast is the first in its kind to offer a full cardio plan for the people that want to increase their endurance, lose weight, and learn recognizable step patterns from Dancing With The Stars. This opens the door to the millions of DWTS fans and the class allows beginners to professional dancers to all share the floor. This truly is a workout that’s totally fun while still learning the skill of ballroom dancing and getting all the benefits of visiting the gym.
This is an amazingly fun, cardio workout. This workout includes high energy Latin dances like the cha cha, salsa and jive and also incorporates the quickstep, lindy hop and disco. Every class includes at least three dances and not only does it get people into the best shape of their life, it also increases their self esteem and outlook on life. LaBlast is a ballroom dance workout that fulfills the desire of dance and fitness for any age and life style all while having fun!
LaBlast is easy enough to learn, and has enormous results in every way possible.
